I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken

ok, that’s an old one. I’ve notice a little meme starting up out there. (Mini-Meme?) What have you been wrong about? What deeply held conviction have you begun to question or completely reversed yourself on when confronted by the facts.

Stephen Brown is asking for your Uncomfortable Thoughts at Rants and Raves.

Edge.org gathered quite an august group of thinkers to answer the same question, put thusly:

When thinking changes your mind, that’s philosophy.
When God changes your mind, that’s faith.
When facts change your mind, that’s science.

Science is based on evidence. What happens when the data change? How have scientific findings or arguments changed your mind?”

Food for thought.
